The Australian Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City is pleased to announce the Women in Vietnam 2018: #WOMENVN2018 Competition is now open. We are seeking outstanding and innovative approaches to addressing challenges facing women in Vietnam.
Topic
“Outline a proposal to address a crucial issue affecting women and girls in Vietnam and describe how this initiative will improve the economic and social development of Vietnam in the next decade”.
Prize
An exclusive opportunity to win a 10-week short-term English language study scholarship to the Blue Mountains, New South Wales, Australia.
The prize includes: a return flight (Ho Chi Minh City – Sydney), accommodation, meals and visa costs.
The prize is courtesy of #WOMENVN2018 Conference sponsors Jetstar Pacific and Torrens University Australia.
Eligibility
The competition is OPEN to any Vietnamese citizen residing in Vietnam and is FREE to enter.
The proposals must be written in English. The successful applicant must be able to satisfy a minimum IELTS requirement of 4.5. The school can provide an internal English test if they do not have an IELTS certificate.
Proposals should be no more than one page in length.
You may submit only one proposal.
Note:
- The successful applicant should have a valid Vietnamese passport.
- The proposal should be original and will be checked for plagiarism. Any plagiarism will disqualify the entrant.
Selection process
Only shortlisted candidates will be notified for the second round of the competition. The finalists will have to attend an interview with a selection panel.
The final result will be announced on 16 December 2018 for travel in 2019.
