Monthly salary range:  VND 15,405,192– VND 19,855,972

The Australian Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City is seeking a self-motivated and well-organised Vietnamese national qualified candidate for an expected vacancy to fill the position of Administrative Assistant.  This position will be offered to the successful candidate on a 12 month contractual basis.

Selection for this position will be based on merit and judged against the following specific selection criteria:

  1. A strong commitment to client service and the capability to manage a wide range of administrative duties including the Post's Travel services, visa arrangements, diplomatic services for incoming and outgoing A-based staffs, tax exemption processing and office cleaning services and utilities.
  2. Relevant educational and/or work experience in the field of client service and an ability to understand and implement specified procedures, including those mandated by Australian law.
  3. Demonstrated excellent command of written and spoken English and a good ability to translate and interpret in those languages.
  4. High level interpersonal skills and experience in liaising with relevant Government and non-Government agencies.
  5. Proven high level of competence in using computer programs, including word processing, database and excel spreadsheets.
  6. High level of administrative and organisational skills, including supervisory, time management and people skills.
  7. Proven ability to work as a team member, to organise work, determine priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
